The extension of London’s Jubilee Line in the 1990’s allowed large tracts of industrial property a few miles downriver from the city center to be redeveloped. With the promise of transit access to the city center, one of the largest development projects in Europe was set in motion and largely completed within 10 years.

The construction of a 130' deep station in such close proximity was challenging, but the was completed without damage to the fragile tower by the use of compensation grouting.   [© Professors Robert Mair & David Harris]

The Extended Jubilee Line runs from Green Park to Stratford. Filmed between 1995-1999, this film takes a look at the benefits of the line as well as the people behind the construction (Including David Wabaso, who is currently in charge of the delivery of the S7 Stock).
